2025 recorded over 400 people killed and nearly 2000 physically wounded in over 400 shootings in the US. More than half of these occurred on a school campus. The response? No new legislation in GA but some "school hardening" efforts in public schools. The epidemic of Gun Violence continues to take not only a physical toll but an even larger psychological toll on the youngest members of society. Please join us for a viewing of a "Death By Numbers", a documentary written and starring Sam Fuentes, one of the survivors of the Parkland shooting. After the screening we will have a panel discussion featuring experts and champions of gun violence reduction strategies. Representative Omari Crawford, Dr Sagar Mehta and Jordan Murphy. Join Circle of Safety and Georgia Majority for Gun Safety for Community Safety Advocacy Day at the Georgia Capitol. Meet at 8:30 across the street from the Capitol building at Central Presbyterian Church for coffee and snacks before heading to the Capitol. Our day will conclude with a 1 PM press conference.
