The Pledge
As a candidate for elected office in the state of Georgia, I pledge that if I am elected, I will support gun safety legislation in Georgia, specifically the following:
- 1Secure storage laws, including specific protections for children
- 2Background checks on all gun purchases and transfers
- 3Mechanisms to identify and prevent firearm access by individuals at high risk for violent activity, including protections for victims of domestic violence and those at risk of self-harm
- 4Funding for violence intervention initiatives, including hospital and community based violence intervention programs and violence prevention education
